Emilia Fox joins Dawn French’s Delicious

Emilia Fox is to join Dawn French in her new TV series ‘Delicious’.
The ‘Silent Witness’ actress is thrilled to be working with the British comedienne, as well as, ‘Games of Thrones’ star Iain Glen on the new drama as she has really enjoyed working with them both in the past.
And the 42-year-old beauty – who starred alongside Dawn on James Corden’s comedy ‘The Wrong Mans’ – couldn’t resist the opportunity to add in a few puns when talking about her new role.
She said: "As a starter it’s heaven to be working with Dawn French and Iain Glen again.
"For main course – an absolute treat to be working on such great scripts. For the perfect recipe – a brilliant crew, cast and production team. I can’t wait to tuck."
In the four-part drama – written by ‘Mr Selfridge’s Dan Sefton – Emilia will play a woman called Sam, who is left heartbroken by the same man [Iain] as Dawn’s character Gina.
As for Iain – who worked with Emilia on ‘A Queen’s Command’ – he found it hard not to resist the script, which he praised for being both "funny" and "poignant".
He said: "The script for ‘Delicious’ was irresistible.
"Funny, poignant and unpredictable. I can’t wait to dig my teeth into this feast of a drama."
Dawn’s character Gina is a top chef and was married to Leo Vincent – played by Iain – but she’s left heartbroken when she learns he’s found a new lover in Emilia’s character.
As the storyline develops, Emilia’s alter-ego ends up comparing notes with Gina [Dawn] when she becomes suspicious that her partner is cheating on her.
However, in a huge twist Gina had been the "other woman" all along.
The Sky1 series is expected to air early next year.
