Emeli Sande would ‘love’ Strictly Come Dancing stint

Emeli Sande would "love to" compete on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 32-year-old singer – who appeared as a guest performer on the most recent series of the BBC Latin and ballroom competition – is keen to join the cast for the upcoming run later this year, but she would struggle to memorise the routines.
She told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column: "I would love to, that would be incredible.
"But I’d embarrass myself. I love to dance but can’t learn choreography."
And despite being up for a stint on the programme, the ‘Next to Me’ hitmaker revealed ‘Strictly’ bosses haven’t approached her yet.
She added: "No, I think they probably see my inability. When you have to learn the steps and remember them, I’d find that a bit too challenging."
Last month, Kelvin Fletcher lifted the Glitterball Trophy alongside Oti Mabuse, and he insisted he only did the show to "learn to dance", "get spray tanned every week" and have sequins put on him.
Asked what he would like to happen after winning the competition, the former ‘Emmerdale’ actor previously said: "I don’t know. I never did this show with an expectation that something would happen.
"To do the show in itself is a huge privilege.
"I was very eager for people to see me, who I am, because not many people have seen that. They’ve seen me play a character for so long.
"And if things come on the back of this then then amazing. But that wasn’t the reason why I did the show.
"First and foremost I wanted to do the show to learn to dance, get spray tanned every week, get a different costume every week, get sequins put onto you. It’s been an amazing experience."
