Ellie Leach wishes she was busier on ‘Coronation Street’.
The 18-year-old actress – who has played Faye Windass since 2011 – enjoyed having a quiet period while she was still studying at college, but now she’s completed her course, she’s hoping soap bosses can find her more to do.
She said: "I’m not very busy really, just bistro stuff, but not busy with a storyline."
Asked if she has anything big coming up, she added: "Nothing I know of but hopefully something will come up soon. It’s nice to have some time off but then you think I’m bored now, I’ve just finished college so I don’t know what to do with myself."
And Ellie is particularly bored because many of her old school friends have now left Manchester to go to university.
Speaking at Nickelodeon’s SlimeFest 2019 in Blackpool at the weekend, she exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "All my friends have gone to uni, they’ve all moved away so I don’t really see anyone."
One of Ellie’s biggest ‘Corrie’ storylines to date saw Faye fall pregnant at the age of 12, and she later gave birth to her daughter Miley.
The youngster lives with her dad Jackson Hodge’s parents Greig and Josie Hodge after they showed Faye’s parents Anna Windass (Debbie Rush) and Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) that they could give the little one a great life.
But they later moved to Canada without telling Tim and Anna, and Miley was last seen on ‘Corrie’ in March 2017.
