Ellie Goulding needs to find herself

Ellie Goulding has spent seven years not knowing who she is.
The ‘Burn’ hitmaker – who recently split from boyfriend Dougie Poynter after two years of dating – plans to take a break at the end of her ‘Delirium’ tour and admitted that, though she has done some "really incredible" things in her career, she is ready to take some time for herself.
She said: "I feel like the last seven years has been a blur of really incredible, exciting things, but also not really knowing who I am.
"I think it’s a positive message that I really just want a bit of time for myself to see what the world is like alone."
The 29-year-old pop star admitted it is currently "really challenging" to keep going.
She told heat magazine: "Sometimes I don’t think people know how long I’ve been doing this for – it’s been seven years of non-stop touring and it’s really taken it out of me.
"I know people think I’m invincible, but when you’ve toured for this long and you’re tired and you’re going through a break-up, it can be really challenging."
But taking a break from her career doesn’t mean Ellie will be staying away from fan interaction via social media.
She said: "When you notch up quite a few Instagram followers – like, I’m getting to 10 million now – it is quite tempting to stay active on it.
"But it can turn into a thing where you’re a bit obsessive over it."
