Ellie Brown turned to Kaz Crossley and Zara McDermott after Charlie Brake split

Ellie Brown couldn’t have got through her breakup without the help of Kaz Crossley and Zara McDermott.
The ‘Love Island’ star recently split from her man Charlie Brake – who she met on the ITV dating show – but she has turned to the friends she made in the villa to help her move on.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz at the ‘Surviving Christmas’ premiere, she said: "I’m very good. It was obviously not an easy thing to go through but you always come out of the other end so I’m fine now.
"I’ve been seeing Zara and Kaz – without them, I don’t think I would have got over it as easy and quickly as I did."
While the reality star acknowledge that she still has her friends away from the programme, she explained it can help to talk to people who know what it’s like living life in the public eye.
She added: "Obviously you have your friends that you’ve had forever, but because they are not in this whole new crazy world they kind of don’t understand it whereas Zara and Kaz first hand knew how hard it was to deal with something personally public so they were amazing."
Meanwhile, Zara previously admitted she didn’t see any "longevity" on the on-screen romance, although she was still "devastated" for her pal.
She recently told BANG Showbiz: "When you’d see them sitting round the dinner table and someone makes a comment and you think ‘Oh that was a bit near the mark’ for being in a relationship.
"Me and Adam knew from then that there wasn’t maybe any longevity in it. It’s a shame it had to be that way but I suppose they just weren’t compatible."
