Ellie Brown dumped secret boyfriend days before she entered Love Island shack

Ellie Brown reportedly dumped her businessman boyfriend just days before she entered the ‘Love Island’ villa last week.
The blonde bombshell – who was one of the late arrivals into the love shack – had been secretly seeing a "really nice" guy but ended things with him when she got the call from producers asking her if she’d take part in the dating show in Majorca, Spain.
A source told The Sun Online: "Ellie had a really nice boyfriend, he’s a successful businessman. They broke up in December but started seeing each other again two months ago. They kept it really low key but they were spending a lot of time with each other. Everyone thought they seemed really happy together.
"But then the next thing we know she’s in ‘Love Island’ – and he’s back home watching her on TV. It’s crazy. She’d even said she loved him."
However, those close to the 20-year-old beauty have claimed the pair have not been officially dating since they split in December and were merely friends.
The source explained: "Ellie had seen him around because they have mutual friends but they weren’t dating. She’s been single ever since their break up."
But seeing Ellie waltz around the villa in her tiny two-piece and locking lips with Dr Alex George on screen has understandably shocked her former flame.
The insider close to her mystery ex added: "There’s no hard feelings but it was a shock when he was told she was going on the show."
Since she arrived in the villa with Zara McDermott at the end of last week, the pair have caused some tension as they were both attracted to already-coupled up men.
Ellie initially had her eye on Wes Nelson, 20, but decided to step away from him in last night’s (20.06.18) episode and focus her attention on Alex when their "flirty banter" caused a blazing row between him and his partner Laura Anderson.
Zara, on the other hand, has developed feelings to womaniser Adam Collard and managed to convince him to break up with his partner Rosie Williams to pursue her.
