Ellen DeGeneres hosts birthday bash

Ellen DeGeneres hosted a star-studded birthday bash on Saturday night (10.02.18).
The popular TV host welcomed the likes of Kim Kardashian West and her husband Kanye West, as well as Chrissy Teigen and John Legend, to her party, where she was celebrating turning 60 on January 26.
Ellen – who is married to actress Portia de Rossi – tweeted: "Having the best birthday."
Other big-name guests in attendance at the bash included singer-songwriter Meghan Trainor, and actresses Jennifer Aniston and Olivia Munn.
Ellen has been inundated with well wishes ever since she turned 60, with a host of celebrities appearing on her show to say happy birthday to her in person.
Jamie Foxx, for example, showed up with a bottle of champagne for a special toast, while Chance the Rapper surprised Ellen with some flowers.
The talkshow host is currently one of the most popular faces on American TV – but Ellen previously admitted that her decision to come out as a lesbian in 1997 caused her to change her outlook on comedy.
Recalling the aftermath of her announcement, Ellen explained: "I was the punch line of lots of jokes. I laughed at some, but I realised there’s somebody on the other side of them. It’s cruel.
"I’ve never liked mean comedy, but that became even more important to me after I was the brunt of it."
Ellen starred in her own self-titled sitcom from 1994 until it was cancelled in 1998, shortly after she revealed she was a lesbian.
And the comedian admitted that, for a time, she worried about her future in the entertainment business.
She said: "I wasn’t sure if I was going to work again, and although I was out, I was still trying to alter myself – not dressing the way I wanted to dress or wearing my hair the way I wanted to.
"I slowly gained the confidence to be authentic, and what I’ve learned about other people is that they strive to be authentic, too. So whether they fully support me, love my lifestyle or love that I’m married to a woman, I think they like that authenticity, and they’re drawn to it."
