Ella Eyre: I’ll make a personal record

Ella Eyre’s sophomore record is going to be "very personal".

The ‘Gravity’ hitmaker released her debut LP ‘Feline’ earlier this year and is already starting to put ideas together for her follow up record, which will be crafted with new writers, and has teased that the focus of the songs will be on her private life.

Speaking at London’s Tape nightclub for the VIP launch of MTV Brand New 2016 with Emporio Armani Diamonds, she told BANG Showbiz: "I’m writing album number two. I’m just experimenting at the moment so I’m really enjoying that. But I’m going to be spending a lot more time in America next year and writing with a few writers and seeing where we end up really. I’m still in the loop but I will definitely be focusing on the new album.

"I just want to enjoy it, I know I don’t want to spend too long on it but I know I want it to be very personal and I’ll look forward to what I’ll come up with."

Elsewhere, Ella – who is dating Rixton drummer Lewi Morgan – hasn’t ruled out the possibility of collaborating with her boyfriend’s band.

She said: "Who knows why not? Let’s see what happens… see what direction they might take. They might end up doing some heavy metal."

And asked who is on her wish list to work with, Ella added:

"I’d love to work with Mark Ronson and I’d be intrigued to see what we’d come up with. I think he is one of the most unique producers out there. "
