Ed Sheeran to perform intimate London gig

Ed Sheeran is to play an intimate gig at Islington’s Assembly Hall in London.
The 27-year-old singer is set to perform songs from his three, chart-topping albums for less than 1,000 lucky fans at the venue on November 16 and the only way to be in the audience is to try and win tickets through UK station Hits Radio.
Hits Radio presenter Sarah Jane Crawford said: "Ed fills stadiums nowadays with jaw-dropping solo shows but remains a man of the people. This is the absolute chance of a life-time to see him up-close and personal. Let’s crown him the Mayor of London for the night."
Tickets to see the ‘Shape of You’ singer will be available to win every hour on both shows all week on both Breakfast with Gethin, Gemma and Dave and Wes on the Homerun.
The ‘Perfect’ hitmaker announced the gig following he revealed that he has been effected by his massive fame and pressure within the music industry – and admitted that his writing sessions with Jess Glynne turned into therapy.
The British pop stars have both been affected by the spotlight and when they were working on the song ‘Thursday’ in the studio, which is about the pressures placed upon social media users to look a certain way, talk soon turned to coping with being in the public eye.
Jess, 28, spilled: "Me and Ed chatted about the pressure of the industry, how it’s changed our lives and how we deal with things.
"It was interesting talking to another artist who has had uber-success because he’s experienced certain things people outside of the limelight don’t understand. So it was good to have the perspective of somebody who gets it. It turned into a bit of therapy session – that’s where the song (‘Thursday’) came from."
