Ed Sheeran has Disney dream

Ed Sheeran wants to write a Disney soundtrack.
The ‘Shape of You’ hitmaker is close friends with Sir Elton John and he readily admits he is slightly envious that the musician and Sir Tim Rice got to write the songs for Disney’s beloved 1994 animated movie ‘The Lion King’.
Ed confessed: "That’s one thing I’m eternally jealous of Elton [for]. Despite all the other accolades and all the other songs, he wrote ‘The Lion King’. That’s the coolest thing. And ‘Can You Feel The Love Tonight’ is a gem."
The 26-year-old pop star makes the comments in new documentary ‘Elton John: The Nation’s Favourite Song’ which is set to air on REELZ on Saturday (27.01.18).
Ed – who has just announced his engagement to long-term girlfriend Cherry Seaborn – recently revealed he plans to step away from the music scene while he settles down to start a family.
He said: "My ambition is going to go to zero as soon as I have kids. I am going to be like, ‘I do not care anymore as I have another life to take care of.’ It is totally understandable because you have children and your ambition shifts to be like, ‘I want to be a good father.’ "
And Ed admits after three hit albums and playing in stadiums all over the world his ambition is lessening already.
He added: "To be honest my ambition is dwindling a little bit because I have achieved far more than I thought I ever would. I do not know what to do next. I feel like when you play a stadium you cannot play any bigger than that because what do you do? Sell 15 million albums? What do you do on your next album?"
Taking time off from touring could well give Ed the time to pen a movie score.
Elton, 70, and Rice, 73, wrote five original songs for ‘The Lion King’ – ‘Circle of Life’, ‘I Just Can’t Wait to Be King’, ‘Be Prepared’, ‘Hakuna Matata’ and ‘Can You Feel the Love Tonight’ – and Oscar-winning film composer Hans Zimmer penned the movie’s score.
