Ed Sheeran gets hot and sweaty in Shape Of You video

Ed Sheeran’s music video for ‘Shape Of You’ features the flame-haired hunk getting hot and sweaty while boxing.
The 25-year-old singer/songwriter has unveiled the promo for his number one single from his forthcoming LP ‘÷’, which sees him fall for his trainer and take her for a fried chicken dinner date before having an hilarious fight with a sumo wrestler.
The short was directed by Jason Koenig and filmed in Seattle.
Prior to the video coming out, the ‘Castle on the Hill’ hitmaker said he found the intense exercise featured in it really tough because he’s not a "healthy individual".
Discussing the video, he said: "Do you know what? They were filming it and they were getting me … like I’m not a very, like, healthy, fit individual, and they’re like, ‘Right, we’re gonna do these pull-ups.’ And I was like, ‘I can literally do one pull-up,’ and they were making me do six or seven in a row whilst filming me."
Ed insisted his topless debut was not him attempting to become a pop heartthrob like his close pal Justin Bieber, as it is actually a "gritty" part of the promo.
He shared: "But it’s not in a, like, Justin Bieber walking out of the sea kind of way. It’s a kind of like, quite gritty …"
Teasing the video’s comical ending, he added: "It’s like really serious and then the last 30 seconds you’re like ‘what the hell is going on here?"
Meanwhile, the ‘Thinking Out Loud’ hitmaker has made chart history once again this week, with ‘Shape Of You’ and ‘Castle On The Hill’ as he’s become the first artist to achieve both a number one and number two on the radio chart.
He is also the only artist to knock his own number one off of the top spot with another of his own tracks.
The two singles switched their positions with ‘Shape Of You’ holding the top spot, surpassing ‘Castle On The Hill’, which was previously number one for two consecutive weeks and sits directly behind at number two.
