Ed Sheeran calls Adele LP ‘really good’

Ed Sheeran claims Adele’s new album is "really good".

The 24-year-old singer revealed he is a good pal of the 10-time Grammy Award winner and although he is yet to hear her highly-anticipated third studio album, he has been told great things about it by mutual friends.

He explained to Capital FM radio station: "She’s great, I really like her. She sent me a really nice text after the BRITs and she came down to the O2 to check out the gig and she’s been really cool.

"I haven’t heard [the record], but everyone I know who’ve worked on it is just like, ‘Dude… that record!’ Apparently it’s really good!"

The ‘Someone Like You’ singer released her last album ’21’ back in 2011 but has remained tight-lipped on her plans for the follow-up collection, with sources suggesting she is feeling the pressure to live up to the high expectations set by her second LP, which has sold over 20 million copies worldwide.

A source last month revealed: "It was complete but she was worried it wouldn’t be as good as ’21’ and went back into the studio a few times.

"She wanted to release it as a surprise like Beyonce quite a few months ago but it wasn’t ready.

"She decided to re-write some of the material but it’s now done and will hopefully be released later this year."
