EastEnders’ Kat Moon and Phil Mitchell look set to have an affair.
The leopard-print loving motor mouth – played by Jessie Wallace – has seen her marriage to Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) fall apart after she romped behind his back while they were living in Spain – leaving their twins Bert and Ernie in danger – but her heartbreak will turn to anger when she finds out the bar owner has fathered Hayley Slater’s (Katie Jarvis), the cousin of Stacey Fowler (Lacey Turner), unborn baby.
Across the square, Phil (Steven McFadden) is set to find out that his wife Sharon (Letitia Dean) is having an affair with his mechanic Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters).
A source told The Sun newspaper recently: "In the next few weeks viewers will start to see the pair with their eyes on each other.
"By the end of the next couple of months they won’t be able to keep their hands off each other. Keanu is a brave man as Phil is not someone you want to mess with."
But viewers are convinced the recovering alcoholic will take a different approach when he finds out about their steamy tryst and, with Phil and Kat both heartbroken and distraught by the revelations, the pair end up in bed together.
Fans have been taking to social media to express their views, with one writing: "Hmm! A Kat and Phil affair! Why haven’t they ever explored that pairing?"
Another said: "Yeah, could be interesting but I think Kat would get bored within a week," while a third added: "Oh no! Keep Phil away from any romance story for the time being! He would drag Kat down if they were together I think. (sic)"
This won’t be the first time Kat has fallen into the arms of a bad boy as she previously had an affair with sleazy businessman Derek Branning (Jamie Foreman).
