EastEnders’ Harry Reid’s show headache

EastEnders’ Harry Reid leaves the set every day with a headache because his alter-ego is so "miserable."
The 23-year-old actor – who joined the soap two years ago – struggles to shake off his grumpy character Ben Mitchell when he gets home after a long day of shooting scenes for the popular show and is then left with a throbbing head.
Speaking on ‘Good Morning Britain’ today (05.04.16), he said: "Ben is a very deep character. He has so many layers. He drains me. I come out of work with a headache because I spend the whole day being grumpy and miserable. There is a complex element to him, which makes him exciting to play."
And the handsome star is looking forward to filming with his on-screen grandmother Dame Barbara Windsor later this month as matriarch Peggy Mitchell – who she has played on and off since 1994 – tragically loses her battle with cancer.
And Harry is convinced Dame Barbara’s brief return will see the viewing figures for the BBC One show shoot up.
He explained: "It’s happening and it’s exciting. Everyone is going to love it! I think the viewing figures will shoot up as soon as she is back on the screen."
Meanwhile, it is set to be a tough few months for Ben on Albert Square as not only will he soon lose his beloved grandmother but he’s also just learnt his girlfriend Abi Branning (Lorna Fitzgerald) lied about her pregnancy and miscarriage to try and persuade him to stay with her.
