EastEnders’ Aunt Babe to die?

EastEnders’ Aunt Babe is to be beaten up and left for dead.
The vicious pub chef – portrayed by Annette Badland – has clocked up her fair share of enemies over the past few months but it seems she’s finally met her match as someone is set to seek revenge for her wicked ways next week.
Annette explained: "It doesn’t even cross Babe’s mind that this sort of thing could ever happen to her, or that she wouldn’t see it coming. It definitely takes her by surprise, despite there being lots of people with a motive for the assault!"
It’s not yet known who has decided to take things into their own hands but it’s believed the main suspect is Claudette Hubbard (Ellen Thomas) as she sees red after she learns Babe has been blackmailing her friends Les and Pam Coker (Roger Sloman and Lin Blakley, respectively) for money.
She said: "I don’t think Babe really considers how the Cokers must be feeling – she has her own motives for blackmailing them. She doesn’t have any respect for them, and is just using Pam and Les as much as she can to get what she wants. As for Claudette, it’s thrilling having them go head to head. Babe is fearless – she will fight to the bitter end."
However, Claudette isn’t the only one out to make Babe pay for her cruel actions as Abi Branning (Lorna Fitzgerald) has also been on the receiving end of the her vicious bribes.
Annette told Inside Soap magazine: "Babe truly regrets what has happened between her and Abi, as I think she genuinely wanted to help her.
"But if you cross Babe, she will get her revenge – and she doesn’t think for a second she can’t win over Abi."
Meanwhile, it’s not yet known if Babe manages to survive the brutal attack after her lifeless body is discovered on the kitchen floor of the Queen Victoria pub the next morning by Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) and Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty).
