EastEnders’ Abi Branning to destroy sister Lauren’s life

EastEnders’ Lorna Fitzgerald has teased that her evil alter-ego Abi Branning "still has tricks up her sleeve" to destroy her sister Lauren Branning’s life.
The blonde wannabe vet – portrayed by the 21-year-old actress – has already slept with her older sibling’s boyfriend Steven Beale (Aaron Sidwell) in a bid to get back at her, but it looks like things are set to get worse for the pair as she’s plotting even more.
Speaking to Inside Soap magazine, Lorna explained: "Abi definitely still has tricks up her sleeve! She’s getting more and more involved in Steven, and she’s really driving the plan to destroy Lauren’s life. When I read it, I thought: ‘Gosh, she’s a proper evil mastermind!’ She’s lost all sense of right and wrong."
And Lorna doesn’t think Abi and Lauren – played by Jacqueline Jossa – will ever be able to get over this row.
She told the publication: "I think it’s reached the point of no return for Abi. I can’t imagine hating anyone that much, let alone my own sister. Abi could have had a chat with Lauren and said; ‘You’re being out of order.’ But she’s gone the extra mile and slept with her boyfriend. I feel quit sorry for Lauren in that sense."
And, although she loves getting nitty-gritty storylines, Lorna found it uncomfortable shooting the sex scenes with Aaron because there are so many cameras around.
She said: "People on TV must think it’s passionate – but in reality, when you’ve got got 10 crew members staring at you, it’s all a bit awkward. I couldn’t believe it when I found out that Abi would sleep with Steven – I didn’t see it coming. It had never been mentioned before, so when I read the scripts, I was very shocked."
