Eamonn Holmes has hailed Ruth Langsford as his "great hero" in a heartfelt birthday tribute.
The TV presenter has heaped praise on his wife ahead of her 60th birthday on Tuesday (17.03.20), saying he’s "not half the person she is".
Eamonn, 60, told Hello! magazine: "Ruth has a lovely attitude to life. I just stand back in awe and look at her strength and capabilities.
"She is an amazing person – I am not half the person she is. She is my great hero and she has got more into her groove as she has got older."
Ruth has admitted to being "quite excited" about celebrating her landmark birthday.
The ‘Loose Women’ star – who has an 18-year-old son called Jack with Eamonn – said: "I can’t quite believe I have reached the big 6-0 because when you are in your 20s, you think it’s really old. But actually I am quite excited about it.
"I am very happy in my life, I have got a very happy marriage, a lovely family, I love my work and my career, so everything is going really well."
Meanwhile, Ruth previously likened her relationship with Eamonn to "an oak tree".
The TV star also admitted that their love is "very deep".
Ruth – who has been married to Eamonn since 2010 – said: "He makes me feel very loved.
"Our love is very deep. We’re like an oak tree. Things flap about in the wind, we bicker, we disagree, but actually our roots are solid, we’re very together. He knows me better than I know myself sometimes."
