Dwayne Johnson set for Black Adam appearance in Suicide Squad 2?

Dwayne Johnson is reportedly set to appear in ‘Suicide Squad 2’ as Black Adam.
The ‘Fast & Furious’ star has signed up to portray the comic book character in his own standalone movie in the DC Extended Universe.
But according to The Wrap, the follow-up to 2016’s ‘Suicide Squad’ – which featured the likes of Jared Leto as The Joker, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn and Will Smith as Deadshot in a star-studded ensemble cast – could be the moment Black Adam makes his screen debut.
The report adds that plans for the sequel could see the gang tasked with tracking down a weapon of mass destruction, which is actually Black Adam, who is the arch nemesis of superhero Shazam in the DC Comics.
Teasing the Black Adam film recently, Johnson said: "We have a really cool surprise for Black Adam that I can’t reveal, in terms of where we will see Black Adam being introduced."
Zachary Levi has been cast as Captain Marvel in the upcoming DCEU film ‘Shazam!’ which gets its name from the word Billy Batson utters to transform himself into the superhero.
The word is an acronym of the ancient world gods and historical figures: Solomon, Hercules, Atlas, Zeus, Achilles and Mercury.
The character was created by C.C. Beck and writer Bill Parker back in 1939 and first appeared in Whiz Comics #2 a year later.
After the ‘Shazam!’ and ‘Black Adam’ movies have hit cinemas the two characters will come together to fight each other in an epic blockbuster from DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Pictures.
