Duke of Cambridge left with painful marks after handshake with India’s PM

Britain’s Duke of Cambridge was left with a painful white mark on his fingers after he shared a hard handshake with India’s Prime Minister yesterday (14.04.16).
The 33-year-old royal was forced to put on a brave face after Narendra Modi – who is famed for having a strong grip – left his imprint on the Prince’s hand ahead of a meeting.
The flame-haired hunk managed to maintain his composure as the Prime Minister gripped his hand, while Duchess Catherine – who has accompanied the Prince on his trip around India and Bhutan – watched on from the side.
The royal couple – who have left their children Prince George, two, and Princess Charlotte, 11 months, back in the UK while they carry out their duties – have had a busy few days on tour but it hasn’t been without worry and heartache.
The duo found themselves caught up in a 7.0 earthquake during their visit to Kaziranga National Park on Wednesday (13.04.16) but, despite the power of the tremors, were safe.
The epicentre of the earthquake was near the city of Monywa, around 800 kilometres from the royals’ lodge.
Despite the occasional turbulent times they’ve endured, the couple feel incredibly lucky to visit such an amazing country.
William said earlier this week at a Bollywood dinner: "When Catherine and I were married, India was the first place on Catherine’s list that she told me that she wanted to visit. Two children and five years later we are finally here."
