Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will attend America’s Cup World Series this year

Britain’s Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have confirmed their attendance to The Louis Vuitton America’s Cup World Series.
The royal couple are set to watch the annual racing circuit for the second year in a row, which will take place in Portsmouth on July 24 and sees the sailing elite go head to head to win the sporting event that determines the team’s starting points for the America’s Cup Qualifiers in 2017, according to Hello! magazine.
Prior to the competition Prince William and Catherine will visit Portsmouth base of Land Rover Bar, which is fronted by Olympic champion and British sailor Sir Ben Ainslie, to check on the boats testing equipment
The pair will then head to the race village to meet the team ahead of the competition, as well as the young people involved in the 1851 Trust, which Catherine is a Royal Patron of and visited only two months ago to check in on the organisation and their progress.
On the brunette beauty’s previous visit she attempted to sail the boat, which "really impressed" Ben.
Speaking previously about the mother of two – who has two-year-old son Prince George and 14-month-old daughter Princess Charlotte – he said: "We were all really impressed, she’s clearly done a fair amount of sailing before. She had a feel for the boat. It’s a really high powered racing machine and to be able to steer one of those at close to 40 mph for even a skilled sailor is a real challenge and she did a great job. We had a wonderful sail.
"She really enjoyed it. She certainly looked like she did. This is fantastic for the team to have her involvement and have her support."
