Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to visit Mind in Wales

Britain’s Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are to travel to Wales to meet with people who use art as an expression of their mental health experiences.

Prince William and his wife Duchess Catherine are to travel to Caernarfon in North Wales on Friday (20.11.15) to see the work carried out in the area by the mental health charity Mind.

The Duke and Duchess – who have two-year-old son Prince George and six-month-old daughter Princess Charlotte together – will be looking at art projects run by the charity in Ynys Mon and Gwynedd as well as the Clwyd Mind Men’s Shed project in Denbigh.

Sara Moseley – who is director of Mind Cymru – said: "It’s an honour to welcome the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to Mind’s projects in Wales, reinforcing our shared commitment to ensuring everyone with a mental health problem gets the support and respect they deserve.

"The Duke and Duchess have repeatedly focussed global attention on mental wellbeing in recent months, echoing Mind’s ongoing determination to end the stigma that surrounds mental health problems. For their dedication to our vital cause, we are incredibly grateful."

The Duke and Duchess are committed to raising awareness about mental health problems and recently marked World Mental Healthy Day with a visit to Mind in Harrow, north London.
