Duchess Camilla’s niece joins The Jump

Duchess Camilla’s niece has joined the forthcoming series of ‘The Jump’.
Emma Parker Bowles – who is the daughter of Richard Eustace Parker Bowles, whose brother Andrew Parker Bowles was married to Camilla from 1973 to 1995 – is to take part in the gruelling Channel 4 winter sports competition filmed on the Austrian slopes next month and she thinks she will do well considering she is an "adrenaline monkey".
She told The Sun newspaper: "I am really excited about taking part in ‘The Jump’.
"I have the ability of a mountain goat and am an adrenaline junkie so it’s right up my alley."
And she isn’t the only royal to compete on the popular show as Zara Phillips’ former rugby player husband, Mike Tindall, came second on the show in 2015.
The former model joins previously announced celebrity competitors Louis Smith, Vogue Williams, Lydia Bright and Spencer Matthews go head-to-head on the slopes as they attempt to lift the trophy in February.
Meanwhile, Davina McCall says the celebrities who take part in ‘The Jump’ are the "bravest people on television".
The 49-year-old television personality is excited for the sports show to return and last month teased the "amazing lineup" they have secured.
She said: "It is a crazy, crazy show to be part of and our contestants are just the coolest, bravest people on television. Not because we put them at any risk, but you know, it’s just being in the snow. Normally you’re in the snow for a week and you have a certain amount of risk, but if you’re in the snow for eight to ten weeks and you’re on the slopes every day doing these crazy events … these people are amazing.
"People that love it, love it. So I’m really pleased they do. We’ve got an amazing lineup – an unbelievable lineup. And no, I can’t tell you, but we have quite a few people set. They’re crazy amazing people – I’m so excited."
