Duchess Camilla praises ‘brave’ human trafficking survivors

Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, has praised the "brave" survivors of human trafficking in Naples.
The 69-year-old visited the Italian city over the weekend to meet with victims of human trafficking in an area which had formerly been occupied by The Camorra, an Italian Mafia-type crime syndicate.
Whilst there, she witnessed a fashion show put on by former victims of human trafficking at La Gloriette, a picturesque villa in Naples once owned by crime boss Michele Zaza.
The villa was confiscated by the state after his death in custody, and is now used by a charities supporting victims of crime and women who have fled domestic violence.
Speaking to the women, Duchess Camilla said: "You are all very brave women, I think you’re very strong, you are united which is so important. It is so terrible, so many lives destroyed. It is good that you all talk and support each other. It is so important to talk."
And the deputy mayor of Naples, Raffaele del Giudice, said: "This is a site of great symbolic significance because it was taken from a Camorra boss and turned into a social centre. It represents the fight against criminality and all forms of violence."
Meanwhile, upon arrival to the Italian city, Duchess Camilla met with the head chef at the Trattoria Pizza Margherita, who had made a specially designed pizza which featured her name written in cheese.
She was also offered another pizza with the words "Welcome to Naples" written on it.
The Duchess also visited a Naples tie manufacturer that supplies husband Prince Charles with his distinctive neckwear.
During their eight-day tour of Europe, Duchess Camilla and Prince Charles, 68, are also set to meet with Pope Francis and tour the Vatican.
