Duchess Camilla joins Nick Hewer for school talk

Britain’s Duchess Camilla joined Nick Hewer in visiting a school in Hackney, east London today (20.03.14).

The Duchess of Cornwall sat in on a business talk held by ‘The Apprentice’ and ‘Countdown’ star as he dispensed career tips to schoolchildren at City Academy.

Camilla, 66, visited the school in her official role as patron of the National Literacy Trust and joined in on the conversation as Nick advised students on business and communication skills as part of the Trust’s ‘Words for Work’ programme.

The royal interrupted the serious business chatter by asking Nick, 70, what makes him laugh.

According to MailOnline, the former PR expert-turned-TV star said: "I laugh very easily, humour is the bedrock of a happy life – I have a silly sense of humour."

Nick, an ambassador for the National Literacy Trust, was praised for giving valuable advice to the youngsters

14 year old Katie Blyth said: "I thought he gave us some really good answers and some good advice."

Nick enthused: "I thought the panel was very good, they worked as a team and asked sensible questions – but I don’t know if I got the job.

"Confidence is the thing – kids are so unconfident and if they can be given those communication skills they can do well."
