Dua Lipa emotional as fans are ‘removed’ from China show

Dua Lipa got emotional at her concert in China on Wednesday (12.09.18) as fans claimed to have been removed from the venue "just for standing up".
The pop star was performing at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai, where she addressed the situation towards the end of her set, stating that she wants her shows to be a "safe environment" for all.
The tearful ‘One Kiss’ singer – who had never performed in the country until this month – told the crowd: "I want to create a really safe environment for us all to have fun.
"I want us all to dance. I want us all to sing. I want us all to just have a really good time."
A mother who attended the gig with her daughter told the BBC that the she witnessed Chinese police being "heavy-handed" and "aggressive" with those they had ejected from the event.
Several of Dua’s fans have shared footage of concert-goers being moved on by security on social media.
The ‘Electricity’ singer or a representative for the star is yet to comment on the incident.
It’s not the first time the 23-year-old star has got emotional on stage.
In June, Dua burst into tears as she was forced to axe her Denver concert three songs due to an ear infection.
The ‘IDGAF’ hitmaker had been in pain for a couple of days, and despite attempting to power through her performance at the city’s Fillmore Auditorium, she had no choice but to cut the gig short to avoid causing "permanent damage" to the organ.
Speaking on stage whilst trying to hold back the tears, she told the crowd: "I really tried to push through for this show, I wanted to give you guys a really good show.
"I feel so bad for letting you guys down because I can’t possibly or physically do it and this is not the kind of show I want to give you guys.
"So I’m so, so, so sorry but I’m not going to continue tonight.
"I will be back, I’m so sorry, thank you so much."
Dua’s next stop on her tour is at the Mall of Asia Arena in the Philippines on Friday (14.09.18).
