Dr Ranj Singh won’t sleep ‘for weeks’ during Strictly stint

Dr. Ranj Singh isn’t going to sleep "for weeks" while he is on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The NHS clinician and TV star has hinted the idea of juggling rehearsals for the BBC ballroom competition with his day job and appearances on ITV’s ‘This Morning’ is a bit daunting, and will leave him with hardly any time to get some shut-eye.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz at Monday night’s (10.09.18) TV Choice Awards at London’s Dorchester Hotel, he said: "It’s not just ‘This Morning’ I need to juggle with ‘Strictly’.
"My ‘This Morning’ job is really important to me, but my NHS job is really important to me as well – and I’m doing it alongside this, so I’m just going to have to make my rehearsals fit around everything and probably not sleep for weeks."
He’s still finding time to fit everything in though, and Dr. Singh revealed preparation with his pro dance partner Janette Manrara is already going well.
He added: "It’s really good, I’m having a great time, it’s obviously hard work but I’m enjoying every minute, my partner is fantastic.
"I love her, we got on like a house on fire from the first moment we met and I think we are going to have a great friendship."
Dr. Singh will be competing against the likes of Ashley Roberts, Danny John-Jules, Lauren Steadman and Lee Ryan on the show, but he’s not been able to pick out a potential threat on the dancefloor just yet.
He said: "At the moment, I have no idea because at the moment we haven’t really seen each other dance at all.
"But everybody is lovely, it really is a family, and everyone’s looking out for each other, we all get on and message each other constantly, it’s just a really nice group to be a part of."
