Dr Alex George reassures fans he will be ‘OK in time’ following brother’s death

Dr. Alex George has reassured fans he will "be OK in time" following the death of his younger brother.

The A&E doctor – who shot to fame on ‘Love Island’ – has been left devastated after he lost his sibling Llŷr last week "to mental health", and he has taken to social media to tell his supporters he is "still going".

A post on his Instagram Stories read: "So many of you are checking in on me so I want to say thank you and let you know I am still going.

"In time I will be ok. (sic)"

The 30-year-old reality star recently admitted he was experiencing the "hardest times" he’s ever faced in his life, but vowed to find strength for his family and friends.

He wrote: "These are the hardest times I could ever have imagined. The kindness and love our family has received has been incredible and I am so grateful.

"In the darkest times we must pick ourselves up, find strength and be there for our family and friends. That is exactly what I’ll do."

Alex took to Instagram last week to reveal his brother had tragically passed away.

He wrote: "I can’t believe I am actually writing this post. I have lost my beautiful little brother to mental health. I love you so much Llŷr. The kindest and most caring soul. I was so proud of you starting medical school next month, you would have been the most incredible doctor. We are hurting so bad. No words can explain. As a family we are devastated. We love you and miss you so much. Please rest in peace x Our boy. (sic)"
