Downton Abbey cast guest star in Disney’s Doc McStuffins

The cast of ‘Downton Abbey’ are to guest star in Disney’s ‘Doc McStuffins’.

Stars of the ITV period drama including Joanne Froggatt (Anna Bates), Lesley Nicol (Mrs. Patmore), Matt Milne (Alfred Nugent), Nigel Harman (Mr. Green) and Robert Bathurst (Sir Anthony Strallan) are among the guest voice cast for an upcoming special episode of the Emmy-nominated Disney series.

‘Doc McStuffins’ tells the story of a young girl (Doc) who runs a clinic for her stuffed animals and toys out of her backyard playhouse as part of her aspiration to become a doctor like her mother.

In the extended length episode titled ‘Let the Nightingale Sing’ Doc and the toys will magically travel back to 19th Century England where they meet a young Florence Nightingale, voiced by Joanne Froggatt, and help her realise her dream of becoming a nurse.

Alongside Joanne as the famed "Lady with the Lamp", Lesley will take on the role of miniature porcelain doll Pip, Matt will voice Bernard the teddy bear, Nigel will play tin rooster Doodle Doo and Robert will become Admiral Fiddlesticks.

‘Let the Nightingale Sing’ will feature a new original song titled ‘Love What You Do’ and is to premiere on Disney Junior in the UK this December.
