Doctor Who won’t feature terrorist dialogue after Manchester attack

This weekend’s episode of ‘Doctor Who’ has been edited at the last minute following the tragic terror attack in Manchester earlier this week.
The sci-fi drama was set to make a reference to terrorism in the upcoming episode on Saturday (27.05.17) titled ‘The Pyramid at the End of the World’ but BBC bosses have decided to remove the dialogue out of respect for the 22 victims who tragically lost their lives when a suicide bomber targeted an Ariana Grande concert at Manchester Arena on May 22.
A BBC spokesperson told RadioTimes.com: "Following the traffic events in Manchester, we have made a small edit to this week’s episode of ‘Doctor Who’."
This isn’t the first time producers have been forced to make last-minute changes as they previously amended an episode of ‘Doctor Who’ due to real-life tragedy back in 2014 when elements of the story echoed Islamic State actions.
Daniel Nettheim has directed the upcoming episode, which features an ancient pyramid at the centre of it which stands in the middle of a war zone between the Chinese, Russian and American armies, this weekend.
Following the events in Manchester, which has left more than 50 people injured, Ariana has decided to suspend her world tour indefinitely out of respect for the victims.
