Doctor Doom ‘re-imagined’ in The Fantastic Four reboot

Doctor Doom is to be re-imagined as an "anti-social programmer" in ‘The Fantastic Four’ reboot.

The villain is to be played by Toby Kebbell in the eagerly-awaited film and he’s revealed director Josh Trank has made some adjustments to the original character, changing his name from Victor Von Doom.

Kebbell – who recently starred in ‘Dawn of the Planet of the Apes’ – said: "He’s Victor Domashev, not Victor Von Doom in our story. And I’m sure I’ll be sent to jail for telling you that.

"The Doom in ours – I’m a programmer. Very anti-social programmer. And on blogging sites I’m ‘Doom’."

The 32-year-old actor also spoke about the director’s "ultra-real" approach to the film, telling Collider: "Yeah, it was cool, man. Josh, the whole deal, the lo-fi way he did it, the ultra-real.

"It was just nice to do that. It was nice to be feeling like we had to come to terms with what was given by this incident."

Others stars set to appear in the superhero film based on the Marvel Comics superhero team include ‘House of Cards’ actress Kate Mara and ‘Billy Elliot’ star Jamie Bell.

‘The Fantastic Four’ is set for release in August 2015.
