Disclosure: Sam Smith is our favourite person to write with

Disclosure has revealed Sam Smith is their "favourite person to write with in the world."

The electronic musical duo – made up of brothers Howard and Guy Lawrence – have admitted pulling the ‘Lay Me Down’ hitmaker onto their new single ‘Omen’ was a no-brainer because they admire his talent in the studio and see him as a great friend.

The trio previously worked on the single ‘Latch’ on Disclosure’s debut ‘Settle’.

Speaking to BBC, the siblings said of their choice: "To be honest, Sam is the only person from the last record that we thought we might use on this one again, purely because he’s such a good friend of ours.

"It would feel like a waste to not get him on board. We work with him all the time anyway and I’d say he’s probably our favourite person to write with in the world."

They added: "We got in the room for a catch-up, more than anything, and ended up writing about five songs."

Disclosure’s new album ‘Caracal’, which features ‘Omen’ as the lead single, is set for release later this week and there’s certainly no stopping the boys now as their schedules are filling up with performances, tours and appearances.

They explained: "We’re doing a big American tour including Madison Square Garden. When we were growing up we used to watch a video of Led Zeppelin playing Madison Square Garden with our dad every weekend. After that we go on a world tour…all over again!"

‘Caracal’ will be released on September 25.
