Denise Richards grieves for dead dog Nana

Denise Richards is mourning the death of her dog Nana.
The 45-year-old actress’ beloved mutt, a Boston Terrier breed, passed away on Tuesday night (21.06.16) and she took to her Instagram account to remember her canine friend, whom she adopted from Boston Buddies rescue centre in Southern California.
Denise posted a black and white photo of her rubbing noses with Nana, and captioned the snap: "Our beloved Nana passed away over the weekend. Thank u @bostonbuddies for bringing this beautiful girl into our life. We love her so much & miss her terribly. #NanaBanana #sherescuedus (sic)"
The ‘Wild Things’ star – who has three daughters, Sam, 12, and Lola, 11, with her ex-husband Charlie Sheen, and Eloise, who she adopted as a single parent – is a massive dog lover and has been a long-time supporter of the Best Friends Animal Society.
Denise has given a home to several homeless pooches and was again left heartbroken last June when Scooter – who she had for five years after adopting the dog – died a year after losing a leg to cancer.
At the time, she took to Instagram to remember her "gorgeous sweet Scooter", who she described as having a "beautiful soul".
