Denise Gough worried Paula sex scenes will become porn

Denise Gough is worried her sex scenes in ‘Paula’ will end up on the internet.
The 37-year-old actress stars as the titular character in the upcoming BBC thriller, and has said she has become "very careful" about picking what she agrees to do as she’s concerned that the footage of her intimate scenes will end up "on websites" for people to watch for their own pleasure.
She said: "There are things now when you do sex scenes … loads of actresses … all the photos from your filming end up on websites. So I will choose very carefully what I do."
In the show, Denise’s character Paula finds her life spiralling out of control when she engages in a rough one night stand with the shady James – played by Tom Hughes – and Denise has said she’s proud of how "bold" her character is in the bedroom.
She added: "I am tired of seeing women seduced on screen and then having an orgasm in about five seconds.
"Paula seduces him in quite a bold way. Normally, when the man comes in, the woman says ‘Oh my god’ … but Paula is like ‘Get over here’."
And Denise admits that some viewers may not take a liking to her character – who has a fling with a married teacher before her romp with James – but thinks it’s great that she gets to play a character who "doesn’t apologise" for her actions.
She added to the Daily Star newspaper: "People say ‘she is not very likeable’ and that is such a funny thing we say about women. We don’t say it about Jamie Dornan in ‘The Fall’. He kills women! And yet we are like ‘He is so sexy’. I like playing women who don’t apologise for what they do in their lives. Why do we have to like her?"
‘Paula’ will air its first episode on Thursday (25.05.17) at 9pm on BBC Two.
