Dean Gaffney’s Celebs Go Dating fears

Dean Gaffney is scared about his upcoming appearance on ‘Celebs Go Dating’.
The 42-year-old actor will appear on the new series of the E4 dating show, alongside former ‘The Only Way is Essex’ star Amy Childs, ‘Made In Chelsea’s Olivia Bentley, ex-‘Hollyoaks’ actor Malique Thompson-Dwyer, TOWIE’s James Lock and ‘Love Island’s Amy Hart but admitted he is nervous.
He told The Sun Online: "This will be the most open I have been on TV and that is what scares me.
"TV is changing. The only reality telly I have done is the jungle. I have always said you do your big hitters, but celebrity w***ing a pig off on the farm is not where I want to be.
"I don’t want to do that. I don’t need to be on TV. I don’t want to be famous -I just want to carry on acting and doing my craft.
"’Celebs Go Dating’ is kind of a cult show. I am not going on a coach trip or going on a farm. I think if you are going to do a show, do the right one.
"The life of an actor is hard. You are only as good as your last job.
"You have to keep your bank balance earning – and you have to feel fulfilled.
"There’s nothing worse than having too much time on your hands and being stuck at home watching daytime TV every day."
Dean – who played Robbie Jackson in ‘EastEnders’ from 1993 to 2003, and 2017 to 2019 – split from his ex-girlfriend Rebekah Rose-Ward, 25, earlier this year and previously revealed he is on the search for an "unbreakable force".
Referring to Robbie’s late dog Wellard in the soap, Dean said: "I’m looking for that Wellard kind of love, you know that unbreakable force. It’s hard to find someone that you can do nothing with, that’s what I want."
