Davina McCall won’t indulge her children

Davina McCall won’t leave a single penny to her children.

The 47-year-old TV presenter – who has two daughters, Holly, 14, and Tilly, 12, and an eight-year-old son Chester with her husband Matthew Robertson – has revealed that despite amassing an enormous personal fortune, she wants her children to "stand on their own two feet".

She said: "I read an article recently that said girls of working mothers go off and have a great work ethic themselves.

"I look at my daughters now and have painstakingly told them they won’t be inheriting any money. Me and Matthew plan on spending every penny!

"We say we will take them on great holidays, and treat their families to great holidays, but they have to stand on their own two feet."

Meanwhile, Davina admitted to harbouring doubts about her presenting talents, despite enjoying a hugely successful career.

She told The Sun newspaper: "I remember presenting the Baftas and thinking it was ridiculous and I didn’t know what I was doing.

"I wonder if, say, Graham Norton is also thinking, ‘What am I doing?’"

However, Davina is also philosophical about her failings and says she’s always keen to learn from them.

She reflected: "I’m not perfect, I am learning along the way from my mistakes.

"Nobody likes failing. It doesn’t feel good.

"But if you learn from it and move on that’s brilliant."
