Davina McCall wants to go on Strictly Come Dancing

Davina McCall wants to take part in ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ – but not until her children are grown up.
The ‘100k Drop’ presenter – who has Holly, 16, Tilly, 14, and Chester, 11, with estranged husband Matthew Robinson
– admitted she’s rejected a number of approaches to take to the dancefloor on the BBC contest and though she’d love to do the show eventually, producers have a long wait.
She admitted to The Sun’s TV Mag: "’Strictly Come Dancing’ kept asking me for quite a long time, but I think they have given up asking now.
"I would like to do it, though – just not until all my kids have left home.
"If ‘Strictly’ still want me when I’m 60 years old, then I’ll do it."
The 50-year-old star also admitted she has no plans to retire from presenting and hopes to still be working when she dies.
She said: "I’m never retiring. You’ll have to prise the microphone out of my dead hand!
"The one TV programme I would love to present – and I do give Ben Shephard a hard time about this – is ‘Ninja Warrior UK’. I just think it’s very me."
Davina recently revealed she has rediscovered her zest for TV work now that her children are getting older.
The former ‘Big Brother’ presenter initially felt guilty about leaving her children to go to work, but now that they are a little bit older, Davina feels more comfortable pursuing her own ambitions once again.
She explained: "The major feeling I had in the first 10 years of having children was guilt … about going to work … that I was tired.
"Before I had babies, I worked six or seven days a week. When I had Holly, I looked at her, and I thought I never want to work again. When the kids are little, you want to be with them. When they grow up, everything changes."
