David Tennant to star in Bad Samaritan

David Tennant is set to star in ‘Bad Samaritan’.
The 45-year-old actor – best known for having the lead role in ‘Doctor Who’ – will appear in the thriller, which follows two immoral car valets who use their work as a ruse to gain access and burgle their rich clients. But the thieves’ lives are changed forever when they target the wrong house.
The film is scripted by ‘The Apt Pupil’s Brandon Boyce whilst Dean Devlin will direct the feature himself.
Deadline reports that the movie will start filming in Portland, Oregon later this year.
Of the new project, Devlin said: "I’m a huge fan of David’s work. I’m overjoyed at the opportunity to work with him. Brandon’s script had me on the edge of my seat. Tennant’s intensity is a perfect match for this material."
Tennant can be seen next in the forthcoming ‘Mad to Be Normal’ and he provides vocals for the animated feature ‘Chew’.
Before Devlin starts work on ‘Bad Samaritan’, he will be finishing up directing duties on ‘Geostorm’.
The science fiction film – that Devlin also co-wrote and produced – follows a man sent in to space to prevent a climate satellite from creating an epic storm. It stars Gerard Butler, Abbie Cornish and Ed Harris.
