David McIntosh was "hurt" by his split from his fiancée Kelly Brook.
The former ‘Gladiators’ star – whose engagement to the brunette beauty ended abruptly when she suspected him of cheating on her last month – has confessed he was left devastated by the split from the "love of his life".
Despite recently reuniting with Kelly, 34, David insists the relationship isn’t his main priority and he is preparing to focus all his energy on himself.
He told The Sun newspaper: "I’m not laughing or joking about what happened.
"I was a serious person in a serious relationship – and it hurt. But now I’m doing everything for myself."
David also revealed that the pair – who were originally planning to wed next year – are no longer planning to tie the knot, and expressed concern that the model has stopped following him on Twitter.
When informed Kelly has deleted him from her social media page, he said: "Did she actually unfollow me?
"That’s something I’ll have to check. Maybe she’s broken up with me again…
"But no, we’re not planning the wedding now. After the recent turn of events we are taking it slow."
