David Jason lands 2nd series of Great British Inventions

Sir David Jason has landed a second series of ‘David Jason’s Great British Inventions’.
The 80-year-old actor was seen travelling across the country in the More 4 documentary earlier this year to examine his favourite inventions in British history, and he will return for another series to celebrate the pioneers who transformed our world.
In the first series, David explored many creations from the hovercraft to the television, and he operated one of the world’s biggest hydraulic cranes and got behind the wheel of a tank.
The ‘Only Fools and Horses’ star is better known for playing wheeler dealer Derek ‘Del Boy’ Trotter in the 1980s comedy, as well as Detective Jack Frost in the crime drama ‘A Touch of Frost’.
Despite his successful television shows, which have landed him numerous accolades, David claimed he never knows which shows will be a hit.
He told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV Column: "If I was so gifted to see that everything I did would be a huge success, I’d be a multi-millionaire by now."
David is set to release a new autobiography, ‘A Del of a Life’, in October after the success of his first two books, 2013’s ‘My Life’ and 2018’s ‘Only Fools And Stories’.
He recently said: "In my first two books, I enjoyed sharing my life with the great British public, and I was overwhelmed by their support and kindness.
"In my new book, ‘A Del of a Life’, I am delighted to share with readers some of the hard-won lessons I’ve learned along the way – how to dream big, how to work hard, and how not to fall through the gap in the pub bar."
