David Bowie contemplated touring before he died?

David Bowie was contemplating touring his final LP ‘Blackstar’ before his death.
The album’s artwork designer, Jonathan Barnbrook, has revealed he spoke with the late music legend – who died from cancer in January 2016 at the age of 69 – about the possibility of performing in support of his 27th record and the ‘Starman’ hitmaker didn’t rule out hitting the road, although he told Barnbrook he’s "not much of a performer".
He told NME magazine: "I asked him as I always did, ‘are you going to do a tour?’
"The first he said, which was ridiculous was ‘I’m not much of a performer, you know?’
"I said, ‘I beg to differ , David! But this album is quite intimate – you could do a few small shows’ – then he said, ‘Oh, maybe I could’.
"So you never know – maybe he was going to do something with ‘Blackstar’."
Bowie rarely performed after he suffered a heart attack during his ‘Reality’ tour in 2004.
And in 2015, promoter John Giddings – who had Bowie perform at the Isle of Wight Festival in 2004 – said he didn’t think he would tour again.
He said: "David is one of the best artists I’ve ever worked with. But every time I see him now, before I even speak to him, he goes, ‘I’m not touring’ and I say, I’m not asking."
Meanwhile, The 2017 BRIT Awards is to feature a "tearjerker" tribute to the man himself.
The prestigious ceremony is reportedly set to give the late ‘Life on Mars’ singer his second major salute after ‘Royals’ hitmaker Lorde paid homage to the rock legend at the bash last year.
The late star has been nominated for Best British Male and Mastercard’s British Album of The Year.
