David Attenborough celebrates his birthday with trance anthem

Sir David Attenborough is celebrating his birthday by releasing a "trance" club anthem.
The wildlife expert – who turned 93 today (08.05.919) – is launching a competition to find a DJ to remix a field recording he made in Bali 70 years ago and turn it into an Ibiza anthem.
David said: "The villagers play this concerted music with extraordinary precision and real zest.
"So it is haunting music that you hear every night – or you did in those days, in the villages of Bali."
The TV presenting legend recorded the music for his 1954 BBC TV series, ‘Zoo Quest’, while searching for a Komodo dragon.
The naturalist often took a portable tape recorder on his travels to capture local sounds, but most of his recordings were left unused.
But then, David told Radio 4 producer Julian May, who tracked down the tapes in the BBC Archives and compiled an album of his findings entitled ‘Sir David Attenborough: My Field Recordings From Across The Planet’.
Julian revealed last year: "Back in the 1960s, there were still parts of the world where European music had not been heard.
"The traditions that had been developed over centuries were still continued with no knowledge of Western styles of music, which since then have enveloped the world.
"So these sounds which I captured with that clumsy tape recorder 60 years ago have a quality that you wouldn’t be able to replicate today."
Now, a competition to remix his upcoming recording is being run with Songlines magazine and music-funding body the PRS foundation.
David will judge the hopeful songs with the help of a panel including Mercury Prize nominee Ghostpoet and BBC 6 Music presenter Cerys Matthews.
His team will pick six finalists and the winner will be left down to a public vote.
