David and Victoria Beckham have been invited to a £7.99 Christmas dinner.
The retired soccer star, 39, and his fashion designer wife, 40 – along with sons Brooklyn, 15, Romeo, 12, Cruz, nine, and three-year-old daughter Harper – have been invited to a family meal by his older sister Lynne and her partner Kevin Briggs.
The couple are reported to have booked a table at Wetherspoons pub The Half Moon in Stepney, east London, for a budget family get together during the festive season.
According to The Sun newspaper Kevin – who has previously spent time in prison for the harassment of his former girlfriend – sent a text to all of their relatives, including the famous family.
It read: "Spoons xmas meal in a few weeks. Let us know if you’re in. We’ll do a fiver [£5] max secret santa."
He later added: "Sorry, with inflation we’re making it £6."
Lynne – who has three children from her marriage to ex-husband Colin Every – is reported to have lived off of benefits for years despite David’s £200million fortune.
And while the pair are said to have had a strained relationship in the past, they’re believed to have grown closer this year after her and Kevin’s newborn son fell ill in hospital.
It is unclear whether David’s younger sister Joanne – with whom he’s always appeared close – has been invited to the get together.
