Dave Franco cannot play someone his own age

Dave Franco always gets asked why he doesn’t play characters closer to his real age.
Since his breakout role in ’21 Jump Street’ the 32-year-old actor has been typecasted as playing characters he described as "three dimensional assholes" – including in ‘Bad Neighbors’ and ‘Now You See Me’ – but he’s never played a character close to his own age.
But the baby-faced actor admitted it isn’t his choice and claimed people won’t believe me as a "32-year-old man on screen yet".
Speaking to the Metro newspaper, Franco said: "People ask me why I don’t play characters closer to my own age. Trust me, it’s not my decision. People just won’t believe me as a 32-year-old man on screen yet!"
Now, Franco is starring as actor Greg Sestero alongside his brother, James, in the new movie ‘The Disaster Artist’ which follows the making of ‘The Room’ – directed by and starring Tommy Wiseau – which has been dubbed the worst movie ever made but the movie itself has gained a cult following.
James, 39, both stars and directed the movie and Dave claimed his brother was the "happiest" he had ever seen him when he was behind the camera".
Dave said: "James was the happiest I have ever seen him behind the camera.
"He’s like a little kid and on set he is actually very relaxed, where I am a little more ‘type A’.
"I get very perfectionist and James didn’t realise that. I need to stop being such a perfectionist because it does stress me out."
‘The Disaster Artist’ has an all-star cast including Seth Rogen, a regular star in Franco movies, Bryan Cranston, Zac Efron, Nathan Fielder, Ari Graynor, Josh Hutcherson, Paul Scheer, Sharon Stone and Hannibal Buress.
