Darcey Bussell’s daughter is "embarrassed" by her appearance on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 45-year-old former ballerina admits Phoebe, 13, hates how fascinated her friends are by her famous mother’s glamorous job.
Darcey – who also has daughter Zoe, 10, with husband Angus Forbes – said: "My youngest loves it but my eldest is embarrassed of me being on ‘Strictly’.
"She has friends who want to talk to me about what I wore on the show and she turns to them and says, ‘Why do you want to know that?’ I’m just mum to her."
While she may be unimpressed by her mother’s job, Phoebe likes to give the ex-dancer fashion advice.
Darcey added to OK! magazine: "It’s extraordinary how worldly they are. She has so much to learn but she’s incredibly smart and she’s very honest with me.
"She likes dressing me up and telling me if I looked OK on ‘Strictly’. She’s my best critic."
And despite her own dance background, Darcey admits her husband’s footwork is limited.
Asked how he is on the dancefloor, she said: "He’s not on it! He did learn Ceroc which is French rock ‘n’ roll when I first met him about 21 years ago and he loved it. We do that together at any wedding we’re at."
