Danny Miller says final scenes with Ryan Hawley are emotional

‘Emmerdale’ actor Danny Miller says his final scenes with his co-star Ryan Hawley are full of "raw emotion" and a few "genuine" tears.
Ryan, 33, is leaving the ITV soap after playing Robert Sugden for five years to "try other projects", meaning it is the end of his character’s relationship with Danny’s alter ego Aaron Dingle, with the pair affectionately dubbed ‘RobRon’ by fans.
Danny, 28, admits it has been hard to say goodbye to his friend and he has warned that their final scenes together will be sure to have viewers crying.
In an interview with Inside Soap magazine, he said: "We’ve done a lot of the goodbye scenes already – there was real emotion in there, and a genuine tear or two! Ryan and I have been close for a good four years, and it won’t be the same without him. But the show goes on – and it will be interesting to see what happens to Aaron next."
Ryan is set to exit the show in dramatic scenes all connected to the rape of his sister Victoria Sugden’s (Isabel Hodgins) at the hands of Lee Posner (Kris Mochrie).
Danny admits the news of the end of ‘RobRon’ has split fans "down the middle" and he is proud that Ryan’s departure has sparked such a reaction because it means that their story arch has been important to people.
Discussing the fan reaction, he said: "It’s split down the middle. Half the fans are angry that this couple is coming to an end. They don’t understand that every actor wants to go off and spread their wings at some point. The other half are excited to see what Ryan gets up to. They’re just thankful for all the stories we’ve told over the past four years."
