Danny Dyer’s ‘EastEnders’ castmates have opened a sweepstake on his daughter’s stint on ‘Love Island’.
The 40-year-old actor’s beloved daughter Dani was recently named as one of the contestants on the popular ITV show, and some of the cast and crew members at ‘EastEnders’ are said started taking bets on whether she’ll have sex, smooch anyone or mention her dad on the programme.
An insider told The Sun newspaper: "It’s all light-hearted fun at this point but if you were Danny you might be miffed to hear people betting on the outcome of your daughter’s foray into the limelight.
"It’s going to be a long summer for Danny if he’s subjected to hearing his colleagues joking about his daughter snogging, or more, on screen."
Danny – who plays the role of Mick Cartner in the long-running BBC soap – isn’t overjoyed at the thought of his daughter entering the ‘Love Island’ villa.
But the London-born star has also told Dani to follow her heart during her time on the show.
She recently shared: "He says for me to do me. He is so laid back in everything I do.
"He tells me he knows the sort of girl I am. He says ‘Behave Dan.’ He said ‘Whatever you want to do, go do it’."
Despite this, Dani has already insisted she won’t be having sex on national TV.
She said: "I’m his daughter, he wasn’t overjoyed but he said to me he just wants me to respect myself.
"I would never have sex on TV and I know that.
"I know everyone says they wouldn’t but I don’t think I would. But he said to me ‘Listen, if that’s something you did …’ and I stopped him there and said, ‘No I wouldn’t’."
Dani has already emerged as the 9/4 favourite with bookmaker William Hill to be named Top Female on the show.
Hayley Hughes is 10/3, with Kendall Rae-Knight and Laura Anderson tied in the betting at 9/2, followed by 11/2 outsider Samira Mighty.
