Danny Dyer ‘apprehensive’ about Love Island

Danny Dyer was apprehensive about his daughter competing in ‘Love Island’.
Although Dani Dyer, 22, went on to win the show with her partner Jack Fincham, 26, her ‘EastEnders’ actor father was initially unsure about her taking part in the ITV2 show.
Danny’s ‘EastEnders’ co-star Ricky Champ told ‘Lorraine’ presenter Christine Bleakley: "There has been [conversations on set]. I remember talking briefly at the start with him. I think he was quite apprehensive of his daughter going in there. But what we’re left with, she’s got out of it with her integrity intact. She’s won the money and won the show but I think that was more important – and a bit of a feat on a show like that. Good luck to her, I’m sure her parents are very proud – beaming."
However, things have worked out fantastically for Dani, who shared the £50,000 prize with Jack and the pair were even offered their own reality TV show.
A source previously said: "There is a big money offer on the table for the couple and cameras want to start filming them as soon as they leave the villa.
"There is a huge interest in capturing the moment that Jack meets Danny in person, something he’s been nervous about since day one. Danny will give him plenty of banter so it would be TV gold.
"The mini-series would show their life in the real world and the obstacles they face, like heightened fame, attention from fans and where they’re going to live."
Danny previously admitted he wasn’t sure about Jack at first but quickly became a fan of him.
Speaking to Dani, he said: "Babe, he’s lovely. He’s a proper geezer mate. You’ve found a right proper geezer in there."
He then told Jack: "Listen, I approve of you mate. I think you’re absolutely bang on. I weren’t at first, I thought ‘Oh here we go’.
"You got so much charisma. Takes a brave man to bowl into that gaff, them all ‘abbed up’, proper geezer. Honestly mate, we’re so over the moon."
