Danielle Lloyd has backed her friend Sarah Harding to win ‘Celebrity Big Brother’.
The 33-year-old reality star, who took part in the show back in 2007, was surprised when the former Girls Aloud singer walked into the house earlier this week, but is rooting for her to nab the crown when the series wraps up in a few weeks’ time.
In an exclusive interview with BANG Showbiz, Danielle said: "Yeah I think she could win. I’m friends with Sarah so obviously I’m supporting her and I want her to do well, she’s getting a bit of a rough time.
"I think people might be intimidated because she was in a massive girl band they think she’s got such a big following so people get a bit like ‘oh she’s gonna win’ but you just never know in these shows, just what’s going to happen."
For viewers wondering if it’s the real Sarah that is coming across on TV, Danielle thinks the blonde beauty would "relax more" if Jemma Lucy was evicted.
She explained: "I think she’s probably a bit nervous and people obviously like to dig her out about certain things but I’m sure she probably will loosen up. I think she’s intimidated by Jemma at the moment and I think if she (Jemma) goes (out) I think she will start and be herself a little bit more and start relaxing."
This week saw Sarah and Jemma at loggerheads over a game of spin the bottle in which Jemma dared ‘Made In Chelsea’s’ Sam Thompson to kiss Sarah but it left the singer feeling uncomfortable.
And last week Sarah was criticised for drinking alcohol, but Danielle believes it must be hard for the star because she’s had a battle with the booze in the past.
She said: "It’s hard for someone that’s had a problem with drink, I’ve been in that situation and if someone says to you ‘what’s your drink’ it’s not nice and it’s quite antagonising and the people saying it to her know what they’re doing as well, they’re saying it on national television. She’s got help for it and if she feels like she can have a few drinks then why not?"
But it’s not just a drink that’s passed Sarah’s lips – she snogged ‘The Bachelorette’ star Chad Johnson, despite claiming she has a boyfriend on the outside.
When asked about her mystery boyfriend, Danielle said: "I don’t really know, we spoke a few weeks before she went into the ‘Big Brother’ house but we didn’t speak about boyfriends or anything."
