Dani Dyer warns mums against home ultrasound machines

Dani Dyer has warned mums against buying home ultrasound machines.

The 24-year-old reality star is expecting her first child with boyfriend Sammy Kimmence, but went into a panic when she couldn’t hear her little one’s heartbeat when using the at-home kit.

Sharing a snap of the machine on her Instagram Stories, she advised: "Nothing against it, some people are really lucky and find a heartbeat in six weeks.

"I tried this at home – it made me ill. If you’re a little bit of a worrier, like me, I just really don’t recommend them because if you cant find the heartbeat, you’re stressing about it. I know I was. (sic)"

The kit – known as a fetal doppler – is supposed to help parents listen to their unborn baby using soundwaves. However, they are considered to be unreliable.

Dani fell ill when she couldn’t hear her baby and booked an ultrasound to check her baby was healthy.

She urged: "Please, save your money and don’t get one of them. It just really stressed me out."

The former ‘Love Island’ star recently revealed she was to become a mum for the first time in a sweet Instagram post, sharing a snap of her ultrasound scan.

She captioned it: "Little bubba can’t believe you are going to be ours.

"Me and Sammy are so excited to start this next chapter in our lives, feel so lucky and grateful..

"2021 [love heart emojis] (sic)"

The couple rekindled their romance earlier this year, after Sammy persuaded the actress to spend time with him amid the coronavirus lockdown.
