Dani Dyer wants to channel nerves for presenting debut

Dani Dyer has "tried to channel" her nerves for her first presenting role.
The former ‘Love Island’ star will step centre stage for the first time as she takes on hosting duties for the second series of MTV show ‘True Love Or True Lies’ when it returns on Monday (21.10.19), and she is delighted to be in such a great position.
She’s quoted by the Daily Star newspaper’s Hot TV column as saying: "This is my first presenting gig and it was so exciting. I couldn’t believe I was given the opportunity.
"But I was so nervous. But nerves means you’re excited. I tried to channel that and give my best performance."
The reality gameshow sees contestants battle it out to win a cash prize, with last year’s winners bagging a whopping £90,000.
Their relationships are put under pressure as they complete a number of tests, with a pair voted out of each episode.
There is a huge twist though, as some of couples aren’t the real deal and it’s the task of the rest of the group to spot the fakes.
Dani – who is replacing former host Maya Jama for the new run following the show’s launch last year – will be teaming up with her famous father Danny Dyer for the programme as he returns to provide the voiceover.
He previously said: "I’m bursting with pride to have my little Dan come along for the ride. She’s a little star."
It was revealed earlier this year that a second instalment, which will be comprised of 12 episodes, had been ordered by MTV.
Craig Orr, Vice-President of Commissioning and Development for MTV International, commented at the time: "We can’t wait to bring this highly successful format back as it challenges perceptions and reflects what modern day relationships really look like."
‘True Love or True Lies’ returns to MTV on October 21 at 9pm.
